Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Hi Larry!
Apologies for the delay in answering. I’m still figuring out this Tumblr system. I’m not sure I’m as much of a fan as I thought I’d be.
Thank you so much for writing me about ALTERNATE CURRENTS. How did you get to see the film? I made a few other short films. Mostly experimental in nature. But I turned to screenwriting. I’m currently writing a project for Warner Brothers based on the world of UAV piloting.
So nice to meet you!
On why she’s leaving CNN, Campbell Brown spoke candidly…
“As for why, I could have said, that I am stepping down to spend more time with my children (which I truly want to do). Or that I am leaving to pursue other opportunities (which I also truly want to do). But I have never had much tolerance for others’ spin, so I can’t imagine trying to stomach my own. The simple fact is that not enough people want to watch my program, and I owe it to myself and to CNN to get out of the way so that CNN can try something else…CNN will have to figure out what that is. The 8pm hour in cable news world is currently driven by the indomitable Bill O’Reilly, Nancy Grace and Keith Olbermann. Shedding my own journalistic skin to try to inhabit the kind of persona that might co-exist in that line up is simply impossible for me. It is not who I am or who I want to be; nor is it who CNN asked me to be at any point. This is the right decision for me and I hope it will be a great opportunity for CNN.”
Ugh. No need to say more.
Finally. A music service that curates based on your mood. I’ve been searching for a good one for years. This one feels right.
Hope the show lives up to the promise of the trailer. I don’t want another HEROES situation.

A New Clue to
Explain Existence

Read this article. It’s incredibly cool.
TL;DR version: They discovered that a special kind of particle called a B-Meson, that can be either matter or antimatter, switches from antimatter to matter easier than it goes the other way around, thus explaining why stars, planets, life, the universe and everything can exist. Awesome.
Now I see how the man makes his movies…
Mysterious German actor Klaus Kinski didn’t LOVE Werner Herzog, but, uh, they worked well together. Herzog is a miserable, hateful, malevolent, avaricious, money-hungry, nasty, sadistic, treacherous, blackmailing, cowardly, thoroughly dishonest creep. His so-called ‘talent’ consists of nothing but tormenting helpless creatures and, if necessary, torturing them to death or simply murdering them. He doesn’t care about anyone or anything except his wretched career as a so-called filmmaker. Driven by a pathological addiction to sensationalism, he creates the most senseless difficulties and dangers, risking other people’s safety and even their lives -just so he can eventually say that he, Herzog, has beaten seemingly unbeatable odds. For his part, Herzog wasn’t quite into Kinski either. Incredible. I didn’t know how to calm him down, and then I had an inspiration. I went to my hut, where, for months I had hidden a piece of chocolate. We would almost have killed one another for something like that. I went back to him, going right into his face and ate the chocolate. All of a sudden he was quiet. This was utterly beyond him.

“It would be nice if the robot was a bit more clever, but she is very good at expressing herself.”
Indeed. Till death do you part.
Can’t wait to see the Pavement reunion show — Los Angeles and Berkeley.
